The noughties sucked as a decade. 2009 was a beast on it's own. People would argue that it's how you feel that matters. To them I say - "How?" - if everything around you stinks like rotten fish, all you can do is make a face. If anything, social media defintely reigned in the noughties. Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, MySpace, Orkut, etc. Musically, if the 80s, brought electro and funk, and the 90s hip hop, then the noughties were simply artists using social media tools for sharing and communicating their music (not a bad thing), but was it a road-block to creativity? I don't know. Although, I bet the distraction it brings has a lot to do with it. In any case though, I do FEEL like 2010 is going to be awesome. I am an optimist. I think (and hope) that it is going to be one big "Let's just move on!" emotion from people and the world will be in a better place than it was. So, having said that, I raise my glass to you and Swami music, for making sure that y'all give us a badass 2010 to look forward to! Cheers! I couldn’t agree more!
